Here is the Apple Outfit I made for DD a couple of weeks ago. She wore it to church today so I was finally able to get some pictures of her in it. This top picture is my favorite!
The pants and top are actually two separate pieces. The top overlaps the pants just a little bit.
CONGRATS!! You were chosen as one of the winners of the Boo Boo Soothers on A Wrestling Addicted Mommy. If you could please get me your mailing address including telephone number (for shipping purposes only) so that I can get this out to the sponsor that would be great.
Ok, PUL is polyurethane laminated fabric. Unfortunately, you can't get it (or even a reasonable subsitute) in any fabric stores. Believe me, I tried! I usually order mine from coops, but that's because I already have some on hand...the wait time from a coop is usually a couple months. If you want to just get some yards to try, I recommend the site www.diapercuts.com. I have ordered from there and they are very nice, easy to work with. :) Their PUL is reasonably priced considering retail and not having to wait, plus being trustworthy. You can also get it on ebay, though I can't refer a specific seller. You can go with either "1 mil" fabric or "2 mil". I prefer 2 mil for diapers because *to me* it seems to be more waterproof. The 1 mil is thinner and drapes nicely though, and *seems* to last longer as far as not wearing out along the creases of the fabric, seams, etc. Sometimes you can't tell the difference between 1 mil and 2 mil. Not all but most PUL fabric is milled by a company called Fabrite. This company can be trusted for diaper quality fabric that will hold up over time to rigorous washing. There are some other companies starting up, but I don't have as much experience with them as some other diaper makers do. Finally, if you want to get into the coop world, here is a PUL coop that I recommend: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PULPurchasePower Another group that is sort of a database for finding other coops is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NewEstablishedCoops
I hope that helps! Feel free to email me too-- stephtheis (at) gmail (dot) com. :)
P.S. Thanks SO much for voting girl! I really really hope the baby is a girl, though I'll certainly be happy with either. :)
They think that the baby on the left is a girl - but we will check again on Nov 28th. If the little one on the left is a girl, she was sticking her foot in the others area and we could not see what he/she was :)
What cute outfits you make your daughter! And congrats on your newest little won. You have won my blog candy (SU Rub-ons and stuff). Please send me your address so that I can get this out to you! Thanks for playing!
